Actions > HOSPITAL PARTNERSHIP

As soon as the Project was launched, the Government of Monaco pledged to strengthen the expertise of the medical staff and the resources of the hospitals in the countries where the children originated so that certain heart and orthopaedic disorders could be treated there.

Bridges were built between the national hospitals in the partner countries and the following Monegasque medical centres:

  • The Princess Grace Hospital (CHPG)
  • The Monaco Cardio-Thoracic Center (CCM)
  • The Monegasque Institute of Sports Medicine and Surgery (IM2S)
  • The Medial Imaging Centre of Monaco (CIMM)

Currently, several programmes are receiving support, including:

IN MADAGASCAR
In partnership with the association Médecins du Monde, to support paediatric cardiac surgery by offering care to patients and training to staff which now makes it possible to perform open heart surgery in the country.

IN MALI
By offering training in catheterisation techniques to two Malian cardiologists at the Monaco Cardio-Thoracic Center between November 2014 and November 2016.
