AMADE Monaco gives €150,000 to Monaco Collectif Humanitaire
To mark its fiftieth anniversary, AMADE Monaco presented a cheque for €150,000 to Monaco Collectif Humanitaire Hon Friday 15 April. Thanks to this donation, it will be possible to provide surgeries for 15 children in the Principality.
As a particular tribute to H.S.H. Princess Grace, who founded AMADE (Association Mondiale des Amis de l’Enfance) and was very committed to helping vulnerable children, the Association’s Board of Directors decided to support the Monaco Humanitarian Collective. The aim of the Collective is to carry out surgery in Monaco on children from developing nations, suffering from conditions that cannot be treated in their own countries.
The cheque was presented at the Cardiothoracic Centre, in the presence of members of the Collective (the Prince’s Government, the Monaco Red Cross and leaders of the host surgical team), as well as some of the children being cared for by the Collective: Moussa, Boubacar and Modibo from Mali, and Abdoul from Burkina Faso.
AMADE Monaco, whose aim is to support and promote physical, moral and spiritual wellbeing during childhood throughout the world, has been part of the Monaco Humanitarian Collective since it was founded in 2008.
