RESULTS OF MONACO COLLECTIF HUMANITAIRE: 228 CHILDREN GIVEN CARE SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THE PROJECT
The members of Monaco Collectif Humanitaire met on Wednesday 14th January to discuss the annual results of 2014 in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and the Ambassador of the project, footballer Olivier Giroud. Extremely positive results. Since the project was launched in 2008, 228 children have received surgery in Monaco for severe diseases that are untreatable in their countries of origin.
Stéphane Valérie, the Minister for Social Affairs and Health commended the outstanding work carried out by the whole chain of solidarity which has been created and which is coordinated by the Government of Monaco: partner health centres (the Monaco Cardio-Thoracic Center, the Princess Grace Hospital and the Institute of Sports Medicine and Surgery) as well as Monegasque and French member associations of the Collective.
As for Philippe Narmino, Vice-President of the Monegasque Red Cross, he pointed out the generosity demonstrated by the many donors which enabled 28 children from 7 African countries to be offered care in 2014.
Finally, the MCH Ambassador of Hearts, Olivier Giroud, spoke about the initiatives he intends organising to raise funds including 16 seats in a special VIP box in Arsenal for the Arsenal-Monaco and Arsenal-Chelsea matches, as well as a crowd funding campaign launched in 2015 on the internet platform Ulule.
