Collectif > Who we are
“A chain of solidarity aimed at offering a second life to children from the developing world.”
To mark the 50th birthday of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, several Monegasque associations involved in international solidarity joined forces under the name “Monaco Collectif Humanitaire” (MCH).
The aim of this collective is to provide surgery in Monaco to children from developing countries whose cardiac -and sometimes orthopaedic- pathologies cannot be treated in their countries of origin.
Since 2019 and in partnership with the Chaîne de l’Espoir, the MCH has developed its action in 4 countries to operate on children at home when possible. Thus, operations are also funded in Mali, Madagascar, Senegal and Burkina Faso.
More than 515 children have already been offered treatment since the project was initiated, including :
- 435 in Monaco and in France ;
- 26 in Mali ;
- 42 in Madagascar ;
- 5 in Senegal ;
- 7 in Burkina Faso.
