Children of FANB school raise 523€ for Monaco Collectif Humanitaire by selling homemade cakes
Students of 7th grade at Francois d’Assise – Nicolas Barré School (FANB) in Monaco rallied in favour of Monaco Collectif Humanitaire: selling their cakes has raised 523€.
Following the humanitarian awareness sessions conducted by the Monegasque Red Cross with two classes of 7th grade at FANB school, the school kids wanted to bake cakes in order to sell them for the benefit of Monaco Collectif Humanitaire, especially during the Carnival celebrations.
Mrs Debat, one of the teachers who thought of this collection, said: “We had to explain to the children, with words within their reach, the goal of Monaco Collectif Humanitaire, so they can talk about the cause for which these cakes were made and sold. It was a real learning moment. The students were delighted and proud to contribute to the financing of the hospitalization of a child. What more could we wish for? “.
Monaco Collectif Humanitaire warmly thank these novice pastry cookers for this solidarity initiative!
